HTC to Unveil More Than Three Google Android Phones in 2009

Following the launch of its first Google Android-powered Smartphones in 2008, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC recently announced its plan to roll out a total of 20 Smartphones in 2009, of which more than three will be based on Google's open source mobile platform, the Wall Street Journal reported on March 18. Of three Android-based Smartphones, one will be HTC Magic, or G2, which is slated to hit the market by the second quarter of 2008, Dow Jones reported on March 17. In related news, Vodafone UK officially confirmed that it will sell the HTC Magic Smartphones, starting in April 2009.
